Its Sunday, 17th February 2008 and Ma's plan to spend some time at the park materialised today. We did not leave the house until about 9.30am...Ma had to ensure her two 'babies' are taken care of before leaving the house.
It was a nice sunny day; a good weather to spend time out but not too long as the heat of the day would not be kind to my delicate skin.
Ma decided to check out the City Park in S2 behind the Bomba complex. We have passed this place many times, never really ventured the public park with man-made lakes and playground with jogging tracks.
So, today is our maiden visit to the park...come along join us in the pictorial journey.

A nice stroll in the park with Ma.
The place was surprisingly deserted except for a few families, us included...maybe they have all gone back as it was 10.00am when we reached the place.
This is the adult exercising area with some equipments to work out the legs, tummy etc...but not for me yet.
A nice walkway reached out to the man-made lake with lots of well-fed fishes in it. Just about every visitors would buy some fish food nearby sold by traders from the boot of their cars.
On the way to the covered gazebo at the end of the walkway.
There were another family there looking at the fishes swimming below.
At the waters edge, a bird tries its luck for easy meal of small fries swimming nearby.
A fountain in the center of the lake shoots water some 20m into the sky.
Ma & I taking a closer look at the fishes below...look at Ma's hands around me, safety measures. I had my yellow Minnie Mouse hat on.
There were carps, catfish, tilapias down in the waters getting free food from visitors.
It was approaching noon and the sun is almost immediately above our heads...time to make a move to some sheltered area.
A short break at the bench...with me looking exhausted.
Moving on under the afternoon sun.
Another short break under a tree to quench my thirst.
We could not leave the park without some photo sessions with the park amenities as props.
Like this bright orange pipes
"Ladies and gentleman..." future speaker's corner participant.
Clap...clap...clap...and so the crowd applauded in support.
Another rare threesome of us...Pa, Ma & I sandwiched between them.
From the park, we headed for Jusco to have a more cooling environment and have our lunch which shall be in another post.
Thanks Pa & Ma for a lovely Sunday at The Park.
