Its February 2008

Its 1st February 2008 today and Wilayah Persekutuan is having their FT Day, a public holiday for them. As for us in Seremban, NS...its another working day for Pa in the office. Its a working day everyday for Ma, though.

Today, Ma had things to do in town. So, the 3 of us left our Seremban home to Rantau to drop me off at Ma's kampung with me still in my pajamas. Uncle Li was home after his night shift.

Before noon, Ma was already back in kampung; taking the public bus from town. Nothing much to do and see in a small town.

The once popular shopping complex called Wisma Punca Emas has long lost its glitter since the emergence of Terminal One which in turn is also losing out to Jusco in Seremban 2. Its a vicious cycle in the business world.

While some buildings are struggling to retain clients, government building like the old library overlooking the Wisma Negeri is going through a face lift with the fountain at the roundabout working fine.

Just look at the Dewan MPS maintained in good order by the council. The field next to it is currently undergoing a major facelift too.

By now, the grass has been removed in neat rolls to be taken away and restored once the field has been touched-up and the sub-soil drainage has been put in place.

Thats my little Seremban...still our home for now.

Meanwhile, kampung life is back to normal for Atuk & Wan. Their cough is still bothering them; something most Hajj pilgrims bring back home with them.

Pa came back from office just after 6.00pm...enough light for a little walkabout with me. Dinner was earlier than usual for we had to go back to our Seremban home.

We got home about 9.30pm with me fast asleep just after leaving kampung. Tomorrow is another weekend. Looking forward to it as I would have more time to spend with Pa.
