CNY Eve

Its the eve of Chinese New Year; Year of The Rat today. Most private sectors with majority Chinese staff or managed by Chinese has taken the day off...like Pa.

We went out today to do some banking chores, paying bills and not forgetting a little CNY shopping...the CNY sale is on at Jusco.

It was a hot day but that did not deter us from venturing into town with the last minute CNY rush. We were fortunate to get the private parking near BSN; only a block away from Maybank and near the TM Point to settle our bills.

Smile: All passengers in the back seat ready to hit town.

When our banking and bills have been settled, we headed for Seremban Parade to have lunch in an air-conditioned atmosphere at the food court.

Unfortunately, there were a big group of Malay teenagers hanging around 'lepakking'...sorry and sad sight of our future generation.

Ikan Masak Assam+kacang panjang+tauhu for Pa...Hati Ayam+Sambal Udang for Ma

After lunch, we decided to go to Jusco to get away from the teenage crowd. We were also looking for my diapers. We were fortunate to get the covered parking as the weather was really hot when we reached Jusco just after 3.00pm.

A large crowd was congregating at the foyer area where loud noise from drum and cymbal could be heard echoing within the complex.

The loud noise from the main foyer area turned out to be the lion dance group performing.

As usual, the place was less crowded as compared to pre-Hari Raya

Peek-a-Boo: Fooling around at Bata to get a replacement sandal for Pa. He seem to like Bata a lot; the last sandal was also Bata...must be comfortable.

Pit Stop: We did a pit stop at KFC for light snack...checking out the toy displayed.

Chicky Meal for me with a toy thrown in and chicken burger for Pa.

I was really having a great time running around the KFC outlet with Ma, of course.

One of the reasons we like Jusco is the baby-friendly feature with Baby Room. Its conveniently located at 1st Floor at the corner of children's section.

It was almost Maghrib when we left Jusco complex. Pa decided to go into town instead of taking the highway back to Senawang as the 'balik kampung' traffic would have arrived the Seremban-Senawang stretch by then.

Maghrib prayers was at the State Mosque which is now fully air-conditioned foll'owed by dinner at the 'Benteng' area catering for the Malay crowd. Ma wanted to have ABC or cendol but the stall was closed.

We chose a stall near the live entertainment tent by a one-man band with his keyboard. Not bad as he belted out nice & easy malay songs. He also played some Chinese songs in the spirit of Chinese New Year. A Chinese family happened to be at the table nearby.

Ma ordering dinner.

Nasi putih + soup sayur for Ma & I and Nasi Goreng Pattaya for Pa.

Didn't I mention about a little CNY shopping? Yup...each of us got something from Jusco. Pa got me a green blouse with flowery and butterfly motif and a hat to protect my head from the heat when we go out next time.

Pa got himself the replacement sandal and a collared T-shirt while Ma could not resist a Sembonia handbag...she also got herself a white long sleeve T-shirt.

My green blouse.

The Minnie Mouse yellow hat should match well with the green blouse.

Thats a happy little girl after getting new things from Pa & Ma.

Its good that we had our dinner outside before going home as we were all very tired after a long day out.

Thanks Pa & Ma for another great day out.
