Its the 12th General Election Day and all Malaysians are doing their duty to vote for their candidate of choice to lead for the next 4 years.
Continuing from the previous post, Pa & Ma went back to kampung in Rantau to cast their votes. It was a simple and quick process of putting the cross in the box but have a long lasting impact on the future of Malaysians and Malaysia.
The result of the 12th GE have been announced with the ruling BN coalition retaining the role of leading the nation for the next 4 years but with simple majority in comparison to the 11th GE when BN thumped the opposition. Well...thats how the cycle goes; I join all Malaysians wishing for a better nation for all.
After casting their votes, we started our "Jalan-Jalan" plan. Here goes...
Look how bright and cheerful these ladies are knowing they are on the way to vote (except for the grinning little girl)..then to KL
And this is the happiest girl in Seremban after getting back her "Jumbo" all dressed up for a marathon "Jalan-Jalan" with Pa & Ma.
Hmmm...the original "acam" smell is gone but I'm still glad "Jumbo" is back.

Big Billboard Advertisement from the ruling BN coalition for big impact...big budget but eventually not a big win!
Before going to the polling station, Ma did a check at the BN station and meeting up with old schoolmate. Pa did a check here, too without any schoolmates...an immigrant to this territory.
Its good to see Malaysians coming out to vote...even in wheel chair.
Pa walked from the voting center and saw us waiting at the guardhouse for Ma's turn to do her part to vote with Mami. Uncle Li had voted in his Rembau hometown earlier in the morning where he is registered.
By noon, we were already on the Plus highway on our way to KL.
The traffic to KL was smooth and clear; a stark difference from the crawling southbound traffic from Nilai to Seremban.
A stopover at the Seremban R&R for lunch...Ma trying to decide what to eat.
We were early, hence had our choice of where to seat...my oh my! Just look at Pa & Ma's lunch portion. They must be very hungry after the voting session earlier.
Pa had to make a stop at the Sg Besi toll service center to top up his T&G credit which was running low. There is a nice Surau nearby for them to perform their Zohor prayers. Ma also gave me a nice bath to freshen me up.
The traffic into KL at the Sg Besi toll was clear as most KLite have left for their respective homtowns to vote and getting stuck around Nilai-Seremban stretch.
We headed straight for Mid Valley as we have not been here for quite a while. The place was still packed as we had a tough time getting a parking space. These KLites must have voted earlier in the morning.
We checked out Metrojaya and Jusco. There was also this IT & gadget Fair on and Pa had his eyes on the Nikon D40 going really cheap but decided not to get it as its not in the budget. His current Fuji is still doing fine and doing a good job so far.

The Jusco eatery is a must stop for Pa & Ma's favourite Assam Laksa.
As you can see...Ma is smiling and ready for the Assam Laksa.
Sipping away the last few spoonful of the delicious gravy.
While they enjoy their Assam Laksa, I get to enjoy my peaceful nap.
By 5.50pm we were walking to our car to leave MV for our next destination...Ikano Power Center where Ikea is.
Its a clear day when we joined the Federal Highway before exiting to Kerinchi Link to take us all the way to TTDI and One Utama.
Thats the Menara Telekom against a nice blue sky.
6.00pm: Passing by One Utama on our way to Ikea
Our Ikea story will follow in the next post...for a marathon "Jalan-Jalan"
