Monday...A New Beginning

Its Monday, 17th March 2008 and the school break is over. So is the 12th General Election with results that surprised just about every Malaysian of all walks of life. The heat from the GE result is still felt especially by the losing party.

My day began very early at 5.30am! I was awaken by Ma's activities in the kitchen preparing my stuff to take to Ma's kampung in Rantau.

Yes! Beginning today, I'll be spending the whole of the working hours with Wan & Atuk since Ma is back at work.

Gardenia Twiggy for me early at 6.45am

This chocolate sandwich sure is yummy and should keep my tummy full until we reach kampung!

Ok! The ladies are ready to go...lets make a move Pa.

The journey to Ma's kampung was smooth except at the Senawang toll where the traffic queue for the ticket had created a bottleneck. Its a good thing that Pa's T&G card has been topped up recently...so we had a smooth journey through the toll.

The traffic to Rantau was also smooth as most cars we heading to Seremban.

7.40am: We reached Ma's kampung. I was already asleep when we joined the highway.

But not for long...I was up again as soon as I heard Wan's voice calling me.

Bye Ma! Bye Pa!...as I saw them off to work in Atuk's arms.

The journey to town was again without any hitches...after all its Seremban, not KL

There was a burst pipe below the Rasah Bridge heading towards Seremban town creating a slight jam as part of the road was under 6 inches of clear water...what a waste!

Time really flies when I am at kampung. Soon it was evening and Pa & Ma would be back from work. Ma got a lift from Mami as her route back to kampung passes by Ma's new workplace. Pa came back about half hour later.

It was early dinner for Pa & Ma as we wanted to get back home early.

All ready to leave for our Seremban home.

"See you tomorrow, Alisya!" said Wan

Pa's ever willling models posing before leaving for Seremban.

We got home just when the call for Maghrib was heard from the nearby mosque. Pa & Ma had their dinner at kampung. After freshening up, Ma fed me dinner.

Pa & Ma decided to go to Giant to buy some food stuff to bring back to kampung since they would be commuting to kampung more often from now on. Wan would definitely insist the have dinner before leaving for Seremban...its only fair that we contribute a little towards their expenses.

Ma remembered one of her plants was in need of fresh soil. So, we first stopped by the nursery to get a pack of black soil for only RM1.00

Giant at middle of the month is a little quiet.

We had no problem moving around in the trolley while I enjoy another Twiggy.

I spoke too soon...this trolley was somehow shaky. The wheels do not seem to turn freely making it less comfortable for me. We managed to change to another trolley in the hypermarket later on.

Careful Pa! my Twiggy is crumbling on the floor...must be the shaky trolley's fault.

The nice juicy orange caught my attention when Pa passed by it.

We didn't get the orange though but went for bananas, honeydew, dragon fruit and papaya instead...some for our Seremban home and some to bring back to kampung.

We left Giant about 9.30pm. Have to retire early today after getting up at 5.30am this morning.

Tomorrow is another day to look forward to...Good Nite all!
