KLIA...Wan & Atuk Back From Mecca

After about 44 days, Atuk & Wan came back from their pilgrimage in Mecca last Tuesday, 15th January 2008...and we were there at KLIA to fetch them.

We left Ma's kampung at about 10.00pm with Mami & Uncle Li in the other car with my cousins tagging along. The flight schedule left by Atuk indicated that they would land at KLIA at 11.30pm.

We did a casual drive by the highway and exiting at Nilai to join the KLIA route via Salak Tinggi. When we reached the parking area, it was 11.oopm...just about perfect timing. Unfortunately, the flight was delayed by almost an hour!

Our first pit stop was the Petronas Station near KLIA...my cousins had to go to the toilet and also get some refreshments before reaching the airport terminal

We managed to get the parking bay at C2 which is conveniently located at the exit from the arrival terminal

The walkalator does help when ones feet are tired for walking especially with sleepy eyes

Remember the Red Walking Shoes? Well, today I had them on with my pretty dress

First thing Uncle Li did was to check the Arrival Board

Medina...DELAYED! That another 2 hours from now!

Since we had some time to kill, we decided to roam around the terminal area...of course with a group photo with Ma and my cousins

Ma & Mami decided to check out the Sembonia outlet...only window shopping

While Ma, Mami & I went window shopping to see other shops, my cousins were taken by Pa & Uncle Li to the Viewing Area to see some planes docking at the terminal. We joined them later only to be told that the viewing area was closed after midnight....what a shame.

We were soon back at the arrival area and the security personnels in blue were getting ready for the arrival of the pilgrims

At about 2.18am Pa got a glimpse of Atuk pushing the luggage cart among the crowd. After some waiving and calling by Mami and Uncle Li, Atuk spotted us and quickly rushed to us waiting behind the barricade

Atuk could not control his emotions...happy to see all of us greeting him and welcoming him and Wan home

We were all very tired but happy to see Atuk & Wan safely home

By 2.45am we were already packing the luggage in the car boot

We arrived at Ma's kampung at about 2.45am with Ma's eldest sister, relatives and the local imam waiting in the house.

Atuk was touched by the presence of the local Imam and wife who waited for our arrival from KLIA at almost 4.00am

It had been a tiring day and we were all drained and very sleepy by the time the last guests left at 5.00am.

Pa had taken the following day off in anticipation of this. Its good to have Atuk & Wan back and Alhamdulillah their Hajj went smoothly.
