Me & Remy

Its 26th December 2007 today; five days from today we will enter a new year... 2008 and I am already 14 months and 1 week old now. Nothing much happened today while staying home with Ma at our Seremban home.

Being at home with Ma while Pa was at work, I had a great time parading my new Remy bag with Ma taking the role of photographer.

Come see the result below.

Hows this stance with Remy slung around my shoulder? Oh Yeah...I can now stand on my own without assistance. I have also taken a couple of baby steps during Aidil Adha recently

And this special lean against sofa pose?

Time for some shots on the sofa...I'm really enjoying this attention

'One two Zom!'

Ma was very excited to show Pa her skills with Pa's camera. Later that evening we went out to JJ to get Pa's shoes...his current one decided to call it quit after being dragged through rain & shine and even sites that Pa visited!!

Going out is great news for me...I get to try out my new Remy bag which easily fit my two bottles, pacifier and spare nappies...and it surely did.

Remy Joining The Family

Its Xmas public holiday today. We stayed in until evening; Pa glued to the laptop, Ma busy cleaning the house while I listen to the sing-a-long vcd.

We left the house after Asar and headed for Pacific at Ampangan to get some foodstuff. There was Anakku Sale on at the foyer area. While browsing the items on sale, Pa spotted this cute Remy (of Ratatouille fame) bag. Great! That would be useful to put my stuff, thought Ma.

After getting our groceries at the supermarket, we dropped by the Anakku sale to purchase the bag. Now I have Remy to join my collection of animal soft toys.

These are my current collection of animal soft toys

And this is my latest 'Remy' bag in pink

You can tell from my smile how proud I am getting this new addition to my collection

Now I would be using the bag to carry my milk bottles, pacifier, diapers for my short outings with Pa & Ma.

Thanks Pa & Ma...so when can I get to try out the bag?

Tech Curiosity

Curiosity Kills The Cat...but that does not deter me from discovering the things around me, especially the ones Pa & Ma like to keep me away from. Don't they know that 'Curiosity Is The Wick In The Candle Of Learning'? I hold on to this adage.

Things around me are slowly being rearranged or completely hidden.

The radio/cd player has been switched off ever since I discovered what the volume control could do. Even the old CDs have been archived and kept in a box; Ma almost threw them away if not for Pa's intervention.

The house phone has been placed high beyond my reach with the volume set to low...I wonder why!

So, whats there left for me to discover?

Remote control! This gadget is a common item in every homes. I have already dissected the TV remote control at our Seremban home, this one is at Pa's kampung in Rembau before Pa took it away from me.

This is one of the few occassion I get to meddle with Pa's laptop...with him or Ma looking over close by. I get excited pressing the keyboard keys and scrolling the mouse. I have an old mouse Ma allows me to play with whenever they are on the laptop and online.

Another gadget I love to play with is the handphone. Everybody seem to have one in their possession...even Atuk finally got himself one. It gets interesting when the wallpaper picture of the 3 of us appear when I press the keys on Pa or Ma's handset. Pa would allow me to play with his handset more often than Ma.

I have also discovered the on/ off button of the TV at home...this Pa & Ma cannot hide it away from me. Out there, I am starting to get the feel of the elevator buttons but not inside a packed elevator...I get claustrophobic...it could also be the strangers' eyes looking at me that set my panic button on. Nowadays, Pa & Ma would get in the elevator with less people inside, if ever possible.

I love this technology stuff, discovering what they are for and getting immediate response whenever I press a button or key.

Hmmm...now which gadget shall I dissect next?

Jusco on Xmas Eve

We were at Jusco today for window shopping and to buy my stuff. The place was rather quiet for a Christmas eve. Even the decor was nothing to shout about. Perhaps Christmas is not a popular celebration around Seremban 2...or Seremban for that matter.

Nothing of our worries or concern as we were there for our own things. As usual, Pa would capture the events on his camera. Here goes...

I had Ma's Special porridge early; today's add-ons were scrambled eggs plus the usual pounded fried anchovies. And I also get to try out my new Mickey sippy cup Pa bought yesterday.

Once my meal has been taken care of, Pa & Ma would have less worries about me going hungry when we go out. Ma would still pack some porridge in case our outing gets a little stretched. Today is no exception. We left our house at 3pm and my last meal was at 11am.

So, here I am with Ma at MS Restaurant behind Columbia Asia getting my porridge first while waiting for Pa & Ma's food to arrive

Here's what they ordered...briyani with 'Ayam Madu' and 'Ayam Briyani'

A closer look...the 'Ayam Madu' and 'Acar'

Getting a thumbs up from Ma

Jusco looking deserted on Xmas eve

Skating without ice...kids roller blading on the marble slabs at the main foyer area

And I get to go on the rides...as usual. Ooops! 'Jangan Pandang Belakang'

Posing with Ma...by the jet plane

I am good behind the steering wheel...on a stationary car!

Ma decided to have some McD icecream

This is what she bought

...and of course I get a taste of the yummy choco icecream

It was raining when we left Jusco

So, its a wet Xmas eve for those who celebrate it.

Tomorrow is a rest day for all. I wonder if Pa or Ma have any plans...I hope they do!

Girls Day Out

Last Monday (17 Dec 2007), Mami, Ma & I had an All Girls Day Out. Well... Ma and I were accompanying Mami to Banting to see Uncle Li's Mak Chu who works in Banting Hospital. It was a working day, so Pa could not come along...else we could not have an all girls affair on that day.

We left Rantau together with Pa. Mami took the Plus highway exiting at Nilai and taking the scenic KLIA route. Mami's Banting agenda was over by about noon...so we had time to kill. The three of us then headed for Nilai 3 on a bright sunny day; its along the way back anyway.

Our next stop was Jusco at Seremban 2 before we called it a day. Phew! What a packed day we girls had...power puff girls as they say!

Here are photos captured on Ma's Nokia camera phone...reasonably good claims Pa.

The journey to Banting was as comfortable as one expect...nice and cosy in Ma's safe hands. You can see how comfortable I was.

Know what this smile is for?

Yup! Outdoor rides for me...I really love these rides

This is another one I tried

Ma stopped byTabung Haji Banting Branch for some deposit transaction.

Two clocks on the wall giving local time and Mecca time...a five hours difference

The motto on the wall caught Ma's attention. It says "Berkhidmat Kerana Allah"

Lunch at KFC

By 6pm we were already home in Rantau. What a day we had...tiring but enjoyable.

Fun At The Clinic

During my recent visit to the clinic for the MMR jab, Pa recorded my happy mood before seeing the doctor...you read the earlier post here.

Enjoy the show!

In My Daughter's Eyes

Pa likes this song very much; so he'd like to share this song with all readers. If you like to sing along, the lyrics is attached below. Enjoy!

In My Daughter's Eyes (Martina McBride)

In my daughter's eye's
I am a hero
I am strong and wise and I know no fear
But the truth is plain to see
She was sent to rescue me
I see who I want to be
In my daughter's eyes

In my daughter's eyes
Everyone is equal
Darkness turns to light
And the world is at peace
This miracle God gave to me
Gives me strength when I am weak
I find reason to believe
In my daughter's eyes

When she wraps her hand around my finger
Oh, it puts a smile in my heart
Everything becomes a little clearer
I realize what love is all about

It's hangin' on when your heart has had enough
It's giving more when you feel like giving up
I've seen the light
It's in my daughter's eyes

In my daughter's eyes
I can see the future
A reflection of who I am and what will be
Though she'll grow and someday leave
Maybe raise a family
When I'm gone I hope you'll see
How happy she made me
For I'll be there...
In my daughter's eyes

Hope it has touched your heart as it did Pa's.

Cooking Lesson With Chef Alisya

Ma bought me some cooking utensils toys recently. Since its a day off for Pa today, I thought it is as good a day as any to try out my cooking utensils. Come join me in my cooking class and check out my new purple pinny

To start with, you need to get the frying pan on the stove

Aaaa....thats more like it. Now throw in the chopped ingredients and start stirring till its golden brown

Then put in the main item of your choice, fish or meat and keep stirring

Lastly, do not forget to wash the utensils. Its a good habit and should extend the lifespan of your utensils.

Now you can enjoy your meal with friends and relatives. Ooops! Pa & Ma...come and join me and friend for a taste of my first cooking.
