My Friday (yesterday) was not the usual one baggage day trip to kampung in the morning. This time we had additional bag for Pa & Ma since we'd be spending the night at kampung.
I had a banana for breakfast on Friday morning.
That evening, Pa & Ma came back from work together late. They both had some extra work to complete in the office.
We had decided to stay the night at kampung since Pa had to leave early on Saturday to Malacca with his boss. He had set a 7.30am rendezvous with his boss and another colleague to get to Malacca before 9.00am.
So, on Saturday morning I cried to see Pa & Ma off to work which is unusual on a Saturday for Pa. It was Mami & Wan who had to console me.
After getting off at the meeting place, Pa set off to Melaka in his boss's car. So, who else took over possession of the car if not dear Ma. Pa had entrusted her to drive the car to her workplace and later pick him up from the same place when Pa comes back.
Ma was more than happy to do it as she got the chance to drive.

After his meeting at MBMB, Pa had his lunch in Melaka Raya at this place called IndOri...probably short for Indonesian Original. They serve authentic nasi padang and was highly recommended by the Malacca guy who joined the meeting.

On the way to Melaka Raya, Pa passed by this 10-storey flat on the verge of demolition. It's the place Pa was brought up during his primary schooling days. Wan & arwah Atuk stayed here until his retirement. They all have fond memories of this place which would be demolished to make way for a new 5-storey blocks police quarters.

Before leaving Malacca, Pa gave Ma a call to inform her to meet up an hour from then. Ma had so much time in hand even after sending her office colleague to Terminal 1 that she decided to go to Jusco.
Everything went as planned. Ma reached the meeting place just 5 minutes ahead of Pa. I was asleep when they reached kampung.

The earlier rain had left its mark again on the yam leaf.

Pa was his usual self...going round the area with his camera to capture anything interesting.
These 2 girls are our neighbour in kampung. They are much older than me but I'm higher in the family heirachy...their mother is my cousin, which makes me their Aunty!

Wan had asked us to stay another night at kampung but Ma declined. She said her 2 days laundry is waiting at home which is quite true.
We left kampung just after 9.00pm and headed straight home.
I had and early night as usual.
Oooh! It's gonna be Ma's birthday tomorrow. Hmmm...I wonder what Pa is going to get her for her birthday.
