On the Friday 20th June 2008 morning, we arrived kampung at the usual time to receive the sad news that 'oyen' is dead!
He died peacefully on Friday morning at the kitchen door after showing signs of illness days before. Mami was really sad that she shed some tears with the passing of her favourite pet. Wan & Mami were by his side during oyen's last breath.
How touching and sad, the life of oyen. It came to kampung from Bang Kemal's family who found it loitering. Having pity on it, they took it home and finally ended at kampung.

The name 'oyen' came from its colour that was mispronounced by Abang Lutfi. The name was stuck till its death.

I was just about to get close to oyen...even able to say the name 'oyen' and now its gone. Maybe Mami is thinking of a replacement for oyen...but not too soon, I guess.
